Once again, if they are to stay in the United States (which I hope they do), they will have to update the map at some point. I mean, think about how long that would take bro, the Continental Unites States is nearly 2,000 miles from coast to coast, and a good portion of those miles doesn't have anything distinctly "American" about them, and are more or less long stretches of road lined by desert, plains, or trees. If anything, I think they should make the map a little bigger, adding more detail and cities in regions like The South and East Coast, but nowhere near to the extent you are suggesting. But, personally, I don't think making a 1:1 scale would be worth it. It is the same, more or less, with certain landmarks and aspects taken out that were in the first game. I definitely can see where you're coming from with the map.
Iv only realised myself after going back and playing the TC1 faction missions is that some of the missions have been added into the TC2 as Street Events Like Observatory Dash - Big Bend Observatory - New Mexico Race - The Middle of Nowhere etc but i agree that we need longer races at this point, im getting sick and tired of repeating new york hypercar race that i just dont even bother to grind as i have over 20 mil bucks and all the cars minus the season pass exclusives and the crew credit only mitsbushi, i dont care what else gets added to the game but longer races and a route creator that allows you to create your own race and replay it as many times as you want even if there is no share functionality, off the top of my head there is some amazing races that i can create and im sure others will have fun with a race/route creator. The addition of planes, boats and hovercrafts can not hide the large parts of the map without content.Įven an adaptation of some TC1 content would be welcome right now. Also not enough variation and a serious lack of content for such a big map.
TC1 had too long races, but TC2 has not enough long ones. What really is annoying is the lack of longer runs. The "real" cannonball run takes roughly 30 hours to complete (NY to SF). The rest is a "fantasy based on reality" scaled down US inspired map
